How to Create and Customize an Asset

Within AdPipe, you can customize any image or video clip to transform it into something fresh within minutes! We call the finished products, Assets, which are ready to share with your desired audience.

There are a few different workflows you can use to create and customize an Asset in AdPipe.

To begin, you will need to select the content (clip, video or image) that you want to edit. There are a few different ways to locate your desired content.

Starting points to select the content you'd like to begin with:

  • Search AI - Powerful way to discover relevant media in your library
  • Post AI
  • Direct from your Clips library
  • Direct from your Video library
  • Direct from your Image library

CUSTOMIZING AN ASSET

Once you have found the desired content you want to customize, you’ll click the yellow ‘Create’ button on the desired content to bring you into the AdPipe Generator.

The Generator allows you to quickly edit and customize your content in minutes using the trim tool, crop, text, graphics, audio and copy.

You can even use Scenes to clip together multiple images and videos.

TRIM

The trim tool is where you select the exact clip you want to work with from a video using the yellow trim bars located on the timeline at the bottom of your screen.

If you are using an image you can adjust the time that the animation will play using the yellow trim bars. We usually recommend 10 seconds* to allow images with graphics to play through the full animation.

*If you are using this for something that requires a small file size, the time should be decreased if the animation allows it.

CROP

The crop tool is where you’ll select the aspect ratio of your content. There are 7 different options:

TEXT

This allows you to add still text to your media. Under the Scene panel, click the text tab to open a new text box. In the caption box, type the text you’d like to add. You can adjust the font type, color and background color (Configuring Brand Colors and Fonts). You can also adjust the opacity of the font and background color.

Tip: In order to create multiple text boxes with the same text size:

  • Highlight the text box you want to copy.
  • With the original text box highlighted and the cursor on the original text, go to the top menu and click on the Text tab (located next to the Graphics tab).
  • This will create a new text box with the same text size as the original.

GRAPHICS

The Graphics tab is where you have the most room for customization and the quickest way to add motion to your media. Editable Graphics allow you to change the text and colors of an animated graphic. You can also add buttons, borders, .png images. Read more about Creating your Own Graphics.

AUDIO

Audio for media by default is muted. If you want to include scene audio, you must toggle On ‘Include Scene Audio’.

You’ll notice a microphone icon right underneath the media you are editing in the generator. This is ONLY FOR EDITING PURPOSES. It will not control whether or not scene audio is included in the final asset. This must be done in the Audio tab.

COPY

If you’d like written copy associated with your asset,  you can click the Copy panel to compose your own or let  AI generate copy by clicking on the magic want above the Copy text box.

If you add written copy, the asset will be generated with the associated copy and placed into your Post library.

First, select the channel that you will be utilizing the copy for. Then in the copy box you can either type in your own copy and hit save or click the magic wand tool to utilize Copy AI .

SAVING YOUR FINAL ASSET

Once you are happy with your asset, click ‘Generate’ in the top right corner and your asset will appear in your Asset library if there is no copy attached to it.

If you used Post AI or added written copy, it will appear in your Post library.
