Setting up Folders for Content Organization

Organizing your content into folders is a great way to keep everything organized. There are many different ways to think about folder organization.

A few examples include:

  • Maintaining the folder structure of your internal server or DAM
  • Organizing folders by departments, locations or events
  • Organizing folders to streamline your content funnel or calendar

HOW TO CREATE FOLDERS

At the top left of the AdPipe library, there is a folders section with a (+) plus sign. Click (+) to launch the New Folder creation window.

At this time you can add all media types to folders except for clips.

You can create a new top level folder or create a nested folder by highlighting the folder you'd like to nest it under.

Define the Folder name and click 'Create Folder'. Repeat this flow to build out your desired folder structure.

NEXT: ADDING MEDIA TO FOLDERS

There are 2 different ways to add tags to your media:

1.ADDING MEDIA DIRECTLY FROM YOUR LIBRARY

To add posts/assets/videos/images/graphics to a folder, navigate to the library and click "Select" in the top right corner of AdPipe.

A yellow banner will appear and you can select as many items as you'd like to add to a folder.

Top tip: To bulk select a large number items, hold down the shift key to select the first and final applicable item in the list of desired items. Once they are all selected, click Add to Folder.

A window will pop up where you can select the folder you'd like to add to your media to. Click Save.

Note: Items can be assigned to as many folders as needed.

ADDING MEDIA DIRECTLY TO A FOLDER FROM COMPUTER

To add media directly to a folder from your computer, open the AdPipe folder you'd like to add content to and then drag and drop any piece of content directly into the open folder. This can currently only be done one file at a time.

Media files can only be uploaded directly to folders one at a time this time.

MANAGE FOLDERS

Making changes to your folder structure is easy! Simply click the folder you'd like to edit then click the 3 dot icon in the top, right corner of AdPipe.

If you delete any folder, the media inside of the folder will not be deleted. Those items live permanently in your posts/assets/videos/images/graphics library.

If you navigate via folder to a single media file and select 'Delete', it will be deleted permanently from the AdPipe library.

Note: Removing an item from a folder is possible by opening the media file and adding or removing the assigned Folders within 'Details'.

Search is available within folders to help you find the perfect image faster. The AI tab will search your folder visually and the Videos and Images tabs will search relevant names or tags.
