Setting Expiration Dates for Assets & Media

Overview

In AdPipe, you can set expiration dates for assets, images, graphics, and videos. This feature allows you to automatically manage content that may become irrelevant, outdated, or non-compliant over time. Expired content is hidden from your folders and library, making searches more efficient and accurate.

Why Expire Content?

Expired content management is essential, especially if assets include time-sensitive information, branding that’s no longer in use, or footage that may no longer be permissible due to licensing restrictions. This feature allows you to confidently store content while staying compliant with regulatory or brand standards.

How to Set Expiration Dates

Locate Asset: Go to your AdPipe library and select the asset you want to expire.

Set Expiration Date: Find the expiration date field and choose a date when the content will no longer be relevant.

Save Changes: Save your changes to enable automatic expiration.

Viewing Expired Content

Once an asset reaches its expiration date, it will automatically be hidden from your folders and search results. However, you can still access expired content if needed:

1. Go to your library.

2. Select the “Show Expired” filter to reveal expired items.

3. Review or take action on the expired content as needed.

Each expired asset will contain an "expired" notification:

Restoring Expired Content

If you need to reactivate expired content, this can be done easily but is restricted to Admin-level users:

1. Go to the expired content section using the “Show Expired” filter.

2. Select the media content to restore.

3. Click “Restore” near the date field to make it active again.

What happens if my content expires?

Expired content won’t appear in your search results and is hidden from your active folders, helping you maintain an organized, compliant content library.

Who can restore expired content?

For safety, only Admin-level users can restore expired content, ensuring control over sensitive or outdated assets.
