Comments & Review History
Keep feedback in one place with asset comments. Collaborate, review, and track changes without ever leaving the Asset Library.
How to Use Comments and Review History
- Open any asset in your Library, then select the Comments tab (next to Details and Share).
- Play the asset and pause it at the exact moment you want to flag. Your comment will automatically pick up that timestamp.
- Type your note in "Add a comment" and send it. Your timestamp shows up as a small tag next to the comment.
- Click any timestamped comment in the feed to jump the video straight to that moment. No more scrubbing to find what someone meant.
- Update the asset's status (for example, Needs Revisions, In Review, Approved) right from the Comments tab, so everyone working on the asset can see where it stands at a glance.
What You Can Do
- Centralize all feedback and review discussions in one place, right next to the asset itself.
- Leave time-stamped comments so teammates know exactly which frame or moment you're talking about, not just "somewhere in the middle."
- See a full activity history for every asset, including who created it, every comment, and every status change, all in one feed.
- Track exactly how an asset evolved from creation to approval, version by version.
FAQs
Where do I find comments on an asset?
Open the asset from your Library and click into it. You'll see Comments as one of three tabs, alongside Details and Share.
How do I leave a comment tied to a specific moment in the video?
Pause the video where you want to leave feedback, then type your comment. It's automatically tagged with that timestamp so your teammate knows exactly where to look.
Can I jump to the moment a comment refers to?
Yes. Click the timestamp on any comment and the video jumps right to that point.
Does the Comments tab show status changes too?
Yes. Status updates, like moving an asset to Revisions or Approved, show up in the same feed as comments, so you get a full timeline of what happened and when.
Do I need to be logged into AdPipe to leave or view a comment?
Yes, currently comments are only visible and editable to teammates logged into your AdPipe account.
Can I edit or delete a comment after posting it?
Not at this time. Comments are permanent once sent, so give your note a quick read before you hit send.
Can I share a comment thread with someone outside my organization?
Not yet. Comments live inside the Asset Library, so reviewers need library access today. This is worth revisiting once you have an article for sharing outside of AdPipe published.
