Chrome Settings to Ensure Successful Uploads

When uploading large video files to AdPipe, the upload may fail if the browser tab is minimized or left inactive for an extended period. This is because Chrome may put inactive tabs “to sleep” to conserve system resources, interrupting the upload process.

Why it happens

Chrome has a performance feature that automatically deactivates background tabs (also known as “tab discarding” or “memory saver”) when they use significant resources and are not active. This helps improve overall browser speed but can interfere with long-running uploads.

How to prevent it

To keep AdPipe uploads running smoothly, follow these steps to keep AdPipe active in Chrome:

1. Open Chrome and go to Settings -> Performance: chrome://settings/performance
2. Under General, click “Add” next to “Always keep these sites active”
3. Add https://app.adpipe.com
